The Kenyon Group has certainly evolved throughout its long history, spanning in excess of 75 years. Established in 1933 by the late, enterprising founder, Harry Kenyon Snr. Harry, having suffered a bout of pneumonia, was forced to trade his motorbike in for a small van, thus offering greater protection from the elements and laying the foundations of a Family firm that has gone from strength to strength in the intervening years.
The Kenyon family are still very much involved in the day to day management, with the ongoing development program driven by both the present Managing Director Wayne Kenyon and his brother Michael who are the Grandsons of the founder. Collectively they have ensured that a measured and managed approach has been adopted for the tactical and strategic growth of the Company.
Wayne Kenyon took over the reins from his father as Managing Director in 1989 and his business philosophy is simple, he believes that, ‘investing in the future is the only way to achieve real and substantial growth’ proving this by adding more warehouses thus offering even greater flexibility in the services offered to customers within the Lancashire area.
